The benefits of Tourbiz for booking software for cooking classes and workshops

Booking software that follows the rhythm of a workshop

A cooking session does not fill up like an entry ticket: you need an exact number of covers, a three-hour slot and sometimes a second chef on hand. Tourbiz works the way you do rather than the other way round.

Fill your sessions by selling straight from your website

The booking engine slots into the site you already have. Students pick their workshop, pay online and get their confirmation. Payment at sign-up cuts no-shows sharply, and no-shows hurt when the ingredients are already bought.

Find out which workshops genuinely fill up

How Tourbiz will change your life

👨‍🍳 Sell single classes, course series or multi-session deals

Pastry class, parent-and-child workshop, wine tasting, two-day masterclass: you set the number of participants, the length, the level, the price and the extras, such as an apron provided, the printed recipe card or the meal eaten on site. A multi-session package can also be built through a product configuration.

🎉 Handle private hire, hen parties and team building on a quote

A company wants your workshop to itself for twelve people on a Thursday evening? You issue a quote with the headcount, the chosen menu and the extras; it becomes an order, then an invoice, and the slot is held as soon as they agree. A hen party or a birthday follows exactly the same path.

💳 Take payment at sign-up, as a deposit or by invoice

Tourbiz connects to several payment providers (Stripe, PayPlug, PayZen, Systempay, Alma) and accepts ANCV holiday vouchers. Ask for a deposit on a private hire, take the balance on the day, or invoice a company’s training budget, all without switching tools.

They already trust Tourbiz!

Cruises, guided tours, leisure activities: tourism professionals already run their bookings on Tourbiz.

FAQ

How do I cap the number of participants in a cooking class?
You set the number of places for each session, based on how many work stations your kitchen has. Once the class is full it closes itself to bookings, online and at the counter alike. You no longer end up with fourteen people signed up for ten work stations.
Can I collect allergies and dietary requirements at sign-up?
Yes, by adding options to your offer: gluten free, vegetarian, nut allergy. The information comes through with the booking, so you know what you are dealing with before you go shopping rather than on the morning of the class.
How do I cut last-minute cancellations?
Online payment at the moment of booking is by far the strongest lever: someone who has already paid for a pastry class rarely drops out. On top of that you set your own cancellation rules, and confirmation then reminder emails go out automatically before the session.
I run team building and private hire, is that covered?
Yes, through quotes. You enter the headcount, the menu, the length and the agreed rate; the quote turns into an order and then an invoice, and the slot is booked as soon as the client confirms. The same route works for a hen party, a birthday or a works council.
Can I sell gift vouchers for my cooking classes?
Yes. Tourbiz generates gift vouchers from a ready-to-use template, and you can replace the background image with your own artwork using the file provided. The wording is editable and can be set per language, which counts when a good share of December sign-ups are bought as presents.
Can I create promo codes to fill a quiet slot?
Yes, as many as you like, as a percentage or a fixed amount in €. You can limit each code to certain workshops and certain dates, for instance the Tuesday lunchtime sessions that struggle to fill. The student enters the code in the basket and the total recalculates. These codes are currently multi-use; a single-use code is announced as in development.
Can I sell my workshops anywhere other than my own site?
Yes. Tourbiz doubles as a channel manager: your availability syncs in real time with around ten OTAs, including GetYourGuide, Viator, Funbooker and Civitatis. A place sold on one of them vanishes from the other channels, so you never get two people booked onto the same work station.
What does it cost, and can I try it first?
Tourbiz runs on a freemium model: at low volume you use the tool for free, then move to a paid plan as your workshop schedule fills up. Opening an account is free, so you can set up a first cooking class before deciding.
